Vision trumps all other senses – it’s said. So do event planners need to take note of this fact? Of course they do. While I love nothing better than listening to great speakers doing their thing: without the assistance of notes and electronic aids…I do also love strong visuals.
Creating Powerful visual stories
I have always thought many events could benefit from a little artistry. The world of public events has been quick to embrace this thought while the corporate event planner tends to play it a little too safe…for my liking. There are few exceptions. If you are prepared to consider the idea and don’t want to be ‘too out there’ try Live Scribing – where the spoken word – keynotes, workshops, discussion groups is turned into powerful visual stories.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Lina from Smart up Visuals. They are Live Scribers. It’s very cool.
So why do I like Live Scribing?
It’s visual, live: they’re doing their thing right in front of you, it builds from a blank canvas, and it’s big, colourful, engaging, clever and leaves you with a lasting legacy to use or to share. It ticks a lot of boxes for me. On a personal level I am also insanely jealous of these talented types. I have also always wanted to be able to draw!
If you like the idea and want to see what they can do for your event: then check out their web site here. They also do Wall Art, Explainer videos and personalised gifts bags.
Planning your next event? My message to you…
When events have a strong visual feel to them: When the programme is appealing to the eye – your event becomes ‘sticky’: a memorable experience for your audiences.
So what do you think? Do you have some examples of great visual stories to share?
