The Event Expert: Event management training case study.
The House of Dior is possibly the most famous fashion house in the world. Its clothing, accessories and jewellery ooze style, elegance and sophistication. Dior’s fragrances and beauty products are also highly sought after. Dior employs 5 Make-up Artistes to run a variety of in store events across the country. Dior is well known for its fantastic events so not surprisingly they keen to make sure the Make-up team felt confident enough to plan and deliver a range of in store events. The types of stores in question were Harrods, Selfridges and the House of Fraser. I got a call.
So how did I help?
Working alongside Dior’s Retail Excellence Manager I set about designing a course. Using my How to organise outstanding Corporate Events course as our template, I updated parts of the course and created new content as required. In order to reflect the collaborative nature of the training I used Dior branding and imagery throughout the presentation. An example of subject covered included how to design ‘knock out’ in store events, creating events that will be successful, event theming, event planning, what to look for in the perfect venue and selling from the stand to name but a few!
The outcome
Dior’s in store Make-up Artistes now have the skills, confidence, a way of working and a sack full of ideas about how to design, plan and deliver high quality events, as befitting one of world’s top brands. A very creative and enjoyable day was had by all and I am looking forward hearing all about some of the planned events.
